Circuit course through the city of Dresden
Both top athletes and the spectators can expect a new and challenging route through the city of Dresden. The start and finish area is located in the new Heinz Steyer Stadium. From here, the athletes run past the grandstand and the spectators once again in the direction of the Marathon Gate, then along Devrientstraße past the International Congress Centre, the Saxon State Parliament and on to Theaterplatz and the Semper Opera House. After a U-turn, you have to negotiate the ramp of the so-called ‘Hochfilzner Abfahrt’ at the State Parliament. The route then follows the Elbe back towards the stadium.
But it's not just the route that has a lot to offer. Especially in the area of the original 50 m small-calibre shooting range, which will be set up especially for this event in the Heinz Steyer Stadium, spectators and athletes will get the full nail-biting experience.
